Ali Ajali ( born1939 Miane, Iran) is an Iranian Calligrapher, interior designer and architect.
He graduated from the Tehran’s Lycee Francais and college of Decorative Arts.
He studied Calligraphy under the direction of many master Calligraphers. He is the founder of “Gol Gasht” School of Calligraphy. He is considered by some to be one of the few living masters of Iranian calligraphic painting.
His complex and engaging works depict intertwined calligraphy in flowing, organic patterns. In the last 40 years Ajali has headed various departments of calligraphy at almost every major institute of higher education in Iran.
